Delete your account or data

You can delete your shayoink account and its associated data at any time, or delete some of your data without closing your account. Here is how.

Delete your entire account

This permanently removes your account and all data associated with it — your menus, drinks, messages, contacts, bookmarks, saved recipes, and any TVs you have paired.

1. Open the shayoink app on your iPhone.
2. Go to your account, then Privacy & Preferences.
3. Select Delete Account and confirm.

Delete some of your data (without closing your account)

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove specific data. In the shayoink app you can:

• Delete individual drinks or shelves from your menu.
• Unpair a TV (Account → Pair to a TV → Paired TVs → remove) to revoke a display's access.
• Remove contacts, bookmarks, or saved recipes.

For anything you cannot remove yourself, email support@shayoink.com and tell us what data you would like deleted.

What happens after deletion

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days. A few things persist by necessity: any abuse reports you have submitted, your messages in other people's threads (anonymized to a deleted-user marker so the conversation still reads correctly), and public images that may already be cached on our content-delivery network. This mirrors sections 4 and 5 of our Privacy Policy.
